Esploding Potato(e)

08.23.05

I had a potato explode on me last night. Justin’s parents were at work and Justin was visiting with a high school friend. I pricked 4 potatoes and put them in the oven for the baking, and when they were finished, I poked them with a fork to get them out. The last one exploded ALL OVER the kitchen–a 6 foot radius from the oven. 350F potato bits were everywhere—my hair, my face, my clothes, inside the oven, on the dishwasher. The Baeders’ yellow lab, Melody, helped me by finding the skins and eating the scattered remains of the potato bomb. Photos soon!

If if makes you feel any better, I was trying to make deviled eggs the other night……….I was a bit distracted and tried to use the electric mixer on the filling while using a bowl that was entirely too small……first the bowl went spinning out of my hand and then egg yolk/mayo/mustard mixture flew out in huge arc, covering the stove, the burners, my face, my clothes, the floor, and nearly everything else in our small kitchen. It was a beast to clean up, too.

And I quote “Photos soon!”

Promises, promises.

Dang this typing thing!

Anywho, I [heart] you!

Hee! Well, dear shannon, you are officially hilarious. The freakin’ panda bear song was in my head for days. I checked your site at about 2 a.m. and couldn’t sleep for a while due to the laughter. I heart you too!
