I love the weekends, don’t get me wrong. This past Friday night we went to a few kickin’ basketball games (Rainier Beach V.S. Cleveland). The next day we slept in and I went for a walk with Aaron and Andrea out in West Seattle on the sunny, chilly Saturday that it was. After working around the house for a while, we got ready to see a couple of my students in a tap/step team performance at a Kwanzaa festival, but they weren’t dancing that day after all. Justin and I then had dinner at a fancy Ethiopian restaurant, complete with candles, low lights, music, and beautiful colors and textures. After a Starbucks run, we met with Aaron and Andrea and went to our friend Joe’s choir concert at the University of Washington. We met up with the Drakes, Lukas, and Jason at the concert and then went to the “Dryhan’s” for games.

Sunday was church, cleaning, MK open house, grading, and taking care of business. Compare and contrast. Now you know why I think Sundays are stressful…
